FEI Funding “CRISPR”

Funding project of Impetus GmbH & Co. Bioscience KG

Through the state program “FEI – Funding of Research, Development, and Innovation (EFRE)” by the BAB, the R&D project “CRISPR” by Impetus GmbH & Co. Bioscience KG is being supported with a grant totalling €71.213.18 €, co-financed by the EU.

The objective of the project is the development of a new and innovative method for the specific identification of DNA sequences. Based on the natural procaryotic immune system “CRISPR-CAS” a specific and sensitive identification system for DNA-sequences without prior amplification as a faster and cheaper alternative to PCR is to be developed.
